124_The norwands of Buck Mountain
The steep, forbidding north faces (norwands) of Buck reach into the sky above an inpenetrably brushy valley. What appears to be the summit is in fact the north false summit. The middle and highest summit is behind the north summit. Another summit- the south summit is nearly as high as the middle summit. Some climbers climb all three to be sure of getting the highest one. This view is from heather filled meadows north of Mt Berge.
