Snow is receding from the west flanks of Golden Horn (left) and Tower Mountain in June. A successful March ascent of Golden Horn was made using skis until we reached the summit formation. It was a great ski back down to our camp in Swamp Creek. An attempt on Tower was less successful - the central gully had been scoured by avalanches and scared us off when we were only about a third of the way up.
